Video Projects
Here are some of the video projects I have worked on recently.
What to Do if You’ve Lost your Phone
Since I have a lot more time after graduation, I decided to make a short, informational video about what to do if someone loses their phone. This small project allowed me to combine a lot of different things I’ve learned over the years, such as pre-production, filming, directing (myself), editing, motion graphics, and sound editing. I enjoyed this self-directed project and will make more soon! Sources for the video can be found here.
Recreation of Severance Animation
For the final for my 3D Motion Design course, we had the chance to recreate or make our own animation of whatever we wanted. Just before starting this final, I binge-watched all of Severance in a week and became obsessed. I spotted this Instagram reel by Travis Ragsdale before the project was announced, and I wanted to recreate it to the best of my abilities. There’s plenty I would change and redo in this recreation, but I am proud of what I could accomplish with the time I had as the semester ended and my abilities in 3D animation. Through this animation and the class as a whole, I love 3D design and will continue to pursue it after college. And please, go watch Severance. This was my second huge project in Cinema 4D using Redshift renderer.
Recreating 20th century Fox Intro
During my last semester at Belmont, I decided to take a 3D Motion Design course, which taught us how to use Cinema 4D. Our midterm assignment was to recreate the 20th Century Fox intro/opening as closely as possible, with the knowledge we had accrued. I did my best to reflect aspects of the old and current intro that plays at the beginning of their movies. I enjoyed working on this project, especially perfecting the fine details of the intro itself. This was my first huge project in Cinema 4D using Standard renderer.
Super Graphic Ultra Modern Girl Mini Video
This video was created for the final project of my motion graphics class in fall 2024. We were tasked with creating a 30+ second music video to any song of our choice. I chose to do “Super Graphic Ultra Modern Girl” by Chappell Roan because she’s quickly become one of my favorite artists! Filming was all done by me around Belmont University’s campus. I made all graphics besides the Polaroid outline! This was created using Adobe After Effects.
The Making of “Are You Down?”
This interview video was made as a part of a study abroad class in London, UK. We spent the entire month of July interviewing, recording, and editing a video for songs made in conjunction with Belmont University’s songwriter practicum program. The song I chose to follow was an interpolation of “Are You Down” by Jay Sean, written by 3 songwriters and worked on by 2 producers. This video focuses on making the song, collaborating after not knowing one another, and how they grew from this experience. This video was edited in Davinci Resolve.
Last Time On Create Your Own Luck…
This was a video I complied together for my friend’s
Dungeons and Dragons campaign, Create Your Own Luck. It is a campaign he made by himself and I wanted to create a recap video for what happened in a previous session. This was my first time editing with DaVinci Resolve.
Interview with Grandma
This interview was for a final project. We were given the task of interviewing someone and editing the interview alongside video and images about the topic, and optionally editing the voiceover. I chose my grandma, Mimi, about the origins of her farm. My grandfather had recently passed away and it was a great opportunity to learn more about his and her past. This was edited with Adobe Premiere and Adobe Audition.
